“Gunalchéesh!” is coming to KRBD Ketchikan! Beginning Thursday March 4th, “Gunalchéesh!” will air Thursday nights at 10:06 PM to 11 PM Alaska Time on KRBD Ketchikan FM radio and krbd.org. Currently, the show airs Thursdays at l0:06 PM on KCAW Sitka FM and KCAW.org as well as Fridays at 9 PM on KSTK Wrangell FM and KSTK.org. The “Gunalchéesh!” podcast is available on many platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and several others. “Gunalchéesh!”, “Thank You” in the Tlingit language, is a radio celebration of Alaska Native languages, especially the endangered Haida, Tlingit, and Ts’msyen. Without much translation into English, the show features conversations and as well as songs, stories, and more. The show also plays spoken word, stories, and songs in other Alaska Native languages like Athabascan, Inupiaq, and Yupik.
